Thomas Bigelow

Thomas Bigelow died Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Born and raised in Mass., he received his BA and MA from San Jose State. Tom honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a manager for AT&T and taught at Siena College prior to retirement. Tom will be remembered for his love of sailing. He was an avid reader and enjoyed writing poetry.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary; daughters, Jill (Mike) and Sarah (Brendan); son, Michael; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 am Monday, September 14 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church or the charity of your choice.
