Ruben Parr, 68, of Martville NY, passed away on August 18, 2025. He was the loving husband of Denise (Dean) Parr; together they shared 24 years of marriage.

Born May 23,1957 in Berlin, Germany he was the son of the late Carroll and Margot (Schidlowski) Parr.

Ruben's education began at York County Vo-Tech, where he graduated in 1975 with a focus on the carpentry trade, equipping him with the skills that would guide his professional journey. He made significant contributions to the field as a Senior Superintendent for Home Leasing in Rochester, NY, known for his dedication and commitment to excellence in his work.

A nature lover, Ruben was an avid hunter. Additionally, he had a profound enthusiasm for sprint car racing, particularly following the thrilling World of Outlaws series, where his favorite driver of all time was Stevie Smith. His enthusiasm extended to sports as a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan, often sharing in the excitement of the games with family and friends.

Ruben's love for animals was evident in his affectionate relationship with his cats—Baby, Sunny, Momma, and Buddy—who provided companionship and joy throughout his life.

In addition to his loving wife Denise, Ruben is survived by his children Jamie Wilkinson and husband Ed of McSherrystown, PA and Alicia Aguilar of Biglerville, PA; his grandchildren James and Andrea Wilkinson of McSherrystown, PA, Colton, Dante, and Sophia Aguilar of Biglerville, PA. Additionally he is also survived by his siblings Jack Parr and wife Nancy of Dover, PA; Christina Burns and husband John of Thomasville, PA, Linda Kress of Hanover, PA, Larry Parr and wife Carole of Hanover, PA, Michael Parr and wife Susan of East Berlin, PA and Tammy Shore and husband Fred of Thomasville, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.

A private service will be held at Paradise Lutheran Holtzschwamm Cemetary at the convenience of the family.
