Patricia Ann Rudolph, 79, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Albany to Jeremiah and Marion Walsh on January 18, 1947, she attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School in Albany and graduated from Mercy High School, also in Albany. Pat was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She loved tending to her flowers and cooking for her family, especially Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter dinners. Her true passion was her ability to quilt. She was a true artist that put love into every stitch.
She is survived by her husband, Michael who took care of her each day for the past year and half during her illness; her children, Brian Koonz (Linda) of Newtown, CT, Kenneth Koonz (Ronda) of Slingerlands, Dawn Danz (Todd) of Altamont and Mark Rudolph (Alonna) of Guilderland; grandchildren, Michael Tuccio of San Francisco, California, Taylor Koonz of Plainville, Connecticut, Lucian Koonz of Slingerlands, Tanner Danz (Laura) of Guilderland, Cassidy Rennells (Joshua) of Altamont, and Matthew and Abby Rudolph, both of Guilderland; great grandchildren, Thatcher and Veronica Danz; and siblings, Robert Walsh (Margaret) of Colonie and Marion Martin of East Greenbush.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, John and Gerald.
The family would like to thank the team of doctors and nurses at Albany Med for their compassionate care.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 9 from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral mass will be celebrated 9 am Thursday, September 10 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk.
