Patricia Ann Desmond

Patricia Ann Desmond passed away at her Slingerlands, NY home on May 31, 2025. She was 80 years old and contracted Covid a few weeks earlier. Born in Washington, D.C. on November 2, 1944, she moved with her family at an early age to Long Island, New York. She graduated with a B.S. in education from SUNY Brockport, New York and later graduated with a M.S. in education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. She taught at Russell Sage College in Troy, New York.

She loved the outdoors and participated in all types of athletics, including softball, skiing, and swimming. And of course, she was an avid Yankee fan all her life. She is survived by a brother, Dr. Thomas P. Desmond, a sister-in-law, Debrah M. Desmond, and two nephews, Daniel F. Desmond and Thomas M. Desmond.

Her funeral is at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Delmar, NY on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11 am. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette, California.
