Myrtle L. Seaburg, peacefully departed from this world on October 17, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Her final months were filled with comfort and love thanks to the devoted care from her great granddaughter, Sierra. Born on October 14, 1935, in Conesville, NY, the daughter of the late William and Mary(Porter)Young.
Myrtle was a seamstress for Atlantic Knitting Mills in Ravena and also held various other jobs, retiring from Farm Family Insurance in Glenmont. Her home was often filled with laughter and joy, especially during the holidays, a time she cherished for the simple pleasure of being surrounded by her loved ones and friends. She found delight in attending garage sales, enjoyed quilting and gardening
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Nancy L. Olkowski, and her son, Carman T. Seaburg, Jr., and his wife Antoinette. Myrtle also leaves behind her loving sisters, Linda Chichester, Joann Fisher, and Betty Mattice. The light of her legacy shines through her grandchildren: Troy, Tara(Harley), Kirstin, Justin(Cathy), Gregory, Becky(Keith) and Jessica(Anthony) as well as her 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and Coco, her beloved fur baby companion.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Carmen T. Seaburg, who departed this life on October 3, 2003, her brother Richard Young, and her sisters Marylou Chichester and Bonnie Russell.
As we gather to honor Myrtle’s memory, visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Applebee Funeral Home, located at 403 Kenwood Ave, Delmar, NY. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, South Bethlehem.
