Mirna Jaime

1956 — November 23, 2023

Mirna Eugenia Jaime entered into the presence of Jesus on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023. Mirna was born in El Salvador, on December 7, 1956. She came to the United States to attend University, obtaining a master’s degree in computer engineering. While attending University, Mirna heard the good news about God’s great love for her and his gift of His only Son, Jesus. She heard of Jesus’ death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life for all who believe on His name. Mirna put her faith in Jesus and received God’s free gift of salvation and eternal life.

Mirna was Jewish by birth and when she acknowledged Jesus as the Son of God and Messiah, she became a Messianic Jew. She learned more about God and began worshipping with other believers in Jesus. She had a heart to serve God and others. She went on mission trips to Spain and Mozambique and served and ministered to people and shared the good news about Jesus.

Mirna loved to praise and worship God through music and prayer. Mirna discerned God calling her to full time missionary service. She sold her home and travelled from Maryland to upstate New York. She was a substitute teacher and also taught Spanish.

Mirna spent much of her time talking to God in prayer. She worshipped Him and spent many hours interceding for others. She listened to God and went where He said and ministered to many people. She had great faith and prayed for healing and deliverance for many people.

Mirna trusted God to provide her daily needs. She lived much like Jesus, in daily communion with her Father in heaven, doing His will and seeking first His Kingdom. Even when she had nowhere to lay her head, she loved and served God and others.

Mirna demonstrated the faith written about in Hebrews 11, because she lived not yet receiving all that God had promised, but continuing to trust Him and place her full confidence in His provision. She was a stranger and alien on this earth, awaiting her true home in heaven.

She endured sleepless nights, mistreatment from people, and suffering, but she showed patience and endurance and forgiveness. She prayed without ceasing, she constantly gave thanks to God and sang songs of praise.

Though she suffered hardships and sorrow, nothing could defeat her or separate her from the love of God in Christ Jesus her Lord.  She was adopted into God’s family and became His messenger and servant.

She was and is now overwhelmingly victorious because of her faith in Jesus, who loved her and gave Himself up for her. He carried her through her entire life and all the way into His presence where she now rejoices.

She made her dwelling with Jesus and her life bore much fruit for Him. Many people were encouraged and healed and brought to salvation in Jesus through her ministry. Mirna shared the love and good news of Jesus wherever she went.  2 Corinthians 2: 14-15 “But thank God! He had made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.”

She now is celebrating with everlasting joy because she is with Jesus, face to face. She is overwhelmed with joy. She offered her whole life to God and found that in losing her life she found abundant life in knowing Jesus and making Him known.

These verses from 2 Timothy offer a fitting conclusion to Mirna’s life on earth.

2 Timothy 4:5-8 “But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.  As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have remained faithful.  And now the prize awaits me- the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.”

Amen, come Lord Jesus!
