James Nicholson

James F. Nicholson died peacefully on May 15, 2023 at the age of 90. Jim, the oldest of three children, grew up on his father’s farm in the town of Bethlehem. He later made his home in Frederick, MD, where he spent much of his life.

Jim had a passion for aviation, automobiles and engineering. After graduating from the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk school district in 1952, he served his country faithfully in the Air Force, where he trained to become a pilot and earned a Certificate in Electronics. Over the course of his life, he was a technical consultant for various government projects, and filled many IT-based roles in the private sector. He loved conversation, travel, and spending time with family and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Isabelle Mae and George Frederick Nicholson, as well as his sister, Gloria Nicholson Tefft. He is survived by his brother Jerry Nicholson, and nephew Raymond Nicholson.  He is also survived by his niece Patricia Pascale (Greg Pascale, Sr.), great nephew Gregory Pascale, Jr., and great nieces Sarah and Meredith Pascale.

Graveside prayers will be said at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 24th at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd. Colonie 12205.
