Frank M. DiClementi

October 9, 1931 — February 5, 2026

Glenmont

Frank Michael DiClementi was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 9, 1931 to John and Mary DiClementi, the eldest of five: Ralph (Deceased) Irene, Arthur, and John (Deceased) Frank excelled at mischief, mayhem, and math, working hard to help support the family from the time he was five. At 15 he became the youngest apprentice bricklayer in his union and became extremely skilled. His wife, Beverly would later put it to good use making him do all the brick work around their House in Colonial Acres.

Frank began studying engineering at CCNY, continuing at New England College, NH after serving two years in the Army. While working for the legendary DB Steinman, Frank was sent to build a bridge in The Thousand Islands where he met the love of his life, Beverly Sheppard. They were married 40 years, one month, and one day, when she passed away November 9, 2000. After a stint at Sun Oil, where he took his young family all over while he oversaw the building of new stations, he spent the next 30 years in RECO at GE, building plants around the world, including Ireland, the Netherlands, and Venezuela. After retiring, he and Beverly traveled extensively, cooked together, and swam every day. Later he volunteered at St. Thomas Church and spent more than a decade driving for the Bethlehem Seniors. Frank is survived by his beloved daughter Deborah (Rebecca Charles) and sister Irene Olsen, NJ, a brother Arthur, Brooklyn, and nieces and nephews: Sheppard W. Kelly, Peter and Robert Olsen, Laura, Diane, John, Mary Johnna, Butch, Jason, Michael, Christian and Alex DiClementi as well as many grandnieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Colonial Acres family who took incredible care of him over the last 10 years. They enriched his life enormously and we can never thank them enough-Rick and Mary Jo Bernardo, Joanne and Jeff Honeywell, and Mrs. Tori Thiele.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, February 11 from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.
