Elda J. Morby, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Frederic C. Bihler and the late Elda Sanchez. Elda was retired from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. She enjoyed many hours working in her flower gardens. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Jacalyn (James) Slingerland and Roberta Lembo; grandchildren Bethany Slingerland, Philip Slingerland, Santo Papa and Roberta Papa; and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert R. Morby and her brother, Nelson F. Bihler; and grandson James Slingerland.
Elda’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff of Eddy Village Green Beverwyck, for all the loving care given Elda.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, August 26

at 10 am at Graceland Cemetery, Albany. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
