Dorothy Theresa Gisotti

Dorothy T. Gisotti, 91 passed peacefully on February 5, 2018 after a long illness. Born July 21, 1926 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph & Dorina Cioppa. On April 4, 1946, she married her beloved husband Leonard Gisotti, who predeceased her. They enjoyed 58 years together Guilderland. She was an avid sports fan: loving our Sunday dinners, enjoying the NY Giants with her family. She was a devoted mother who never missed a single game her boys played. Her family was her passion and she will be remembered for her warm smile, tenacity and the courage she displayed while caring for her parents and her husband. She is survived by her two sons, Dominick (Susan) Gisotti, Joseph (Denise) Gisotti, and her four grandchildren: Robert (Kimberly) Gisotti, Jennifer (Jim) Parks, Dr. Karen Gisotti (Patrick) Crowe and Leah Gisotti (Matt) Jachym and 11 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Jean Steenburgh and Gloria Harder of Guilderland and many other family members. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10th beginning at 10 am at the First United Methodist Church of Delmar, 428 Kenwood Ave., followed by a memorial service at 11 am at the Church. The burial will be at Memory Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice Foundation, c/o Gift Processing Center, 310 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208. Thank you to all the wonderful doctors, nurses at St. Peter's, Our Lady of Mercy and Hospice for the loving care they all provided.
