Dan was incredibly proud of his family and Irish heritage. He was a lover of Irish folk music and all things Irish. He was a self-taught musician who played banjo, guitar, and fiddle. Dan was happiest spending time with his family on Friends Lake and cruising in his Boston Whaler.
Dan’s family would like to express their true thanks to Dr. David Shaffer and each of the kind and talented staff at New York Oncology and Hematology for supporting Dan in his good fight.
Family, friends, and coworkers are invited to attend the funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 o’clock this Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar, NY. Following the service, please join Dan’s family for a pint of Guinness at O’Slattery’s Irish Pub, 318 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY.
Dan believed that the wrestling program at Maple Hill High School was a positive and formative influence in his life. His family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Maple Hill wrestling team in his memory. Those interested can do so by making checks payable to “Schodack CSD for Maple Hill Wrestling.”
