Christine P. Lombardi

DELMAR – Christine P. Lombardi, 85, formerly of Kenwood Ave., passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge. Born in Poland on November 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Sobiecki) Pekrol. She came to this country at age 16 and had attended comptometer school for accounting. She worked in Audit and Control for 14 years and later as a waitress at the Desmond Hotel in Colonie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph D. Lombardi; son, Joseph G. Lombardi and sister, Danielle Pekrol. Survivors include a son, Anthony J. (Amy) Lombardi; sister, Mildred Baker; brothers, Joseph and Daniel Pekrol; grandchildren, Zachary and Zebulon Lombardi; and niece, Bridgit. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 13th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 14th at 9:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
