In loving memory of Charles B Johnson III

(October 26, 1961 - September 12, 2026)

Charles B. Johnson III of Delmar, NY passed suddenly but peacefully while home in his favorite recliner. He was born in Savannah, GA to Charles B. Johnson Jr. and Rosa B. Johnson, both predeceased. Charles was brother to Carolyn (Frank) Williams, Mary-Anne (Melvin Sr.) Williams, Joyce Thomas, Edwin Johnson, Herman Johnson and Steven Johnson, being the second youngest. Survived by his wife, Dianna Parisi (Delmar, NY), three children whom he shared with his former wife, Lydia Johnson (Gloversville, NY), Natalie Johnson (Rensselaer, NY) and Aaron Johnson (Buffalo, NY), step-daughter Natasha Isabelle (Missoula, MT), brother Edwin Johnson (Plattsburgh, NY), Herman Johnson (Plattsburgh, NY), sister Carolyn Williams (Savannah, GA), and many nieces/nephews he loved dearly.

Charles is remembered growing up in his childhood home on Champlain Street, Plattsburgh NY. Charles graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1979, and later received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh/Clarkson University. Charles proudly served his country in the US Army Special Forces from 1984-1987, then transferred to the Reserves from 1987-1992. Charles was a dedicated employee at Pak-Wik Corporation, serving as an Office Manager for over 30 years. He had a strong passion for the Buffalo Sabres and was an avid hockey player, often practicing with his son, Aaron. He enjoyed attending services at the Center Brunswick United Methodist Church alongside his wife, Dianna.

Charles was best known for his sense of humor. He was the most loving and caring father anyone could ask for. Charles’ deep love for his children, his wife, family and friends was a testament to the incredibly special man that he was.

We love you, forever and always. Thank you for everything, Dad.

A funeral service for Charles will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 5:00PM at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar. The family will also receive visitors at the funeral home Sunday 3:00PM to 5:00PM before the service.

Interment will be private.
