Brian L. Jordan, 67, passed away peacefully Friday, May 15, 2026 after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Brian was born in Albany, NY to the late Howard and Ester (Smith) Jordan on June 2, 1958. He was a 1976 graduate of Ravena Coeymans Selkirk High School. Brian was employed for over 30 years at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, later National Grid, until his retirement in 2019. He was a member of the IBEW Local 97, and a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem. An electrician by trade, he was a meticulous and brilliant mechanic who could fix anything with an engine, large or small. He worked on restoring vintage snowmobiles, and spent several years building a 1965 Shelby Cobra replica which he was able to drive and bring to car shows. He was an avid motorsports enthusiast, particularly NASCAR and Motocross, and cherished the many moment he spent enjoying these past times with friends and family.
Brian will be remembered by all who knew him as kind, loyal, and generous. If someone needed help with a project or repair he was always eager to volunteer his time and wide ranging skill sets to help the job cross the finish line.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Annette, who treasures the wonderful years they had together. Brian was a proud father to his three beloved children: Christopher, married to Kim; Timothy; and Alisha. His love and guidance profoundly shaped their lives and remain a lasting legacy. He is also survived by his sister Paula Susan Jordan, brother Keith Jordan, and sister-in-law Arlene Jordan (late James), along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Brian's life was a testament to resilience and love. As his family and friends remember him, they honor the strength he displayed, the memories shared, and the unwavering support he provided.
The family wishes to express their infinite gratitude to Brian's extraordinary pulmonologist and friend, Dr. Ariel Jaitovich, whose unwavering dedication to helping Brian over a 10 year span extended his life. The family is also grateful to The Community Hospice of Albany for the compassionate care given during his final weeks.
