Bradley Glass

Bradley Jay Glass, 55, of Delmar, New York, passed away after a brave four-year battle with cancer on November 3, 2025. He touched many people with his wisdom, humor, and thoughtfulness and will be deeply missed.

Brad grew up in Nevada, Iowa. He was a life-long learner and embraced new challenges. While in college, he earned a B.S. in mathematics from Iowa State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Iowa. He was a mathematics teacher at Iowa City West High School and then served as a faculty member in the School of Education at the University of Delaware.

Brad and his wife, Laura, were married for 20 years, where he showed his caring and supportive nature every day. They lived a wonderful love story and were everything to each other. After they moved to New York for Laura’s job, he worked part-time at the Honest Weight Food Co-op and developed and honed his skills as a photography artist.

Brad had many interests and talents. In addition to photography, he enjoyed learning new skills and applying his creativity in the areas of computer programming, woodworking, metalworking, and cooking. His artistic work was extraordinary, making his vision come to life. He also liked being active and participating in endurance events as well as traveling all over Europe.

Brad is survived by his wife, Laura Glass; his mother Carol Glass and stepfather Jerry Rewerts; his brother Gregory Glass and his wife Shelly Madsen; his father-in-law Lawrence Simmering; and his sisters-in-law Heather Zientek and Julie Ausherman, brother-in-law Robert Simmering, and their families. He was predeceased by his father Lynn Glass and mother-in-law Linda Simmering. His family will be celebrating his life privately.
