DELMAR – Alicia Katherine “Ali” Diegel, 12, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 24, 2017.
Ali was born in Tampa, FL on January 11, 2005. Survivors include her parents, Harlow Diegel and Mona (Guerette) Manning Diegel; siblings, Edward Manning, Brandon (Jen) Manning, Betsy Manning (Donald Neese) and their children, Sakura, Tsubaki, Lincoln and Olivia, Jason (Tabitha) Manning and their children, K.K., Braydon and Cameron; grandmothers, Jeanne Guerette and Janet Diegel; aunt and uncle, Jenny and Michael Guerette, their son Joey; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Some of Ali’s favorite things were going to the lake and swimming; having her hair cared for and brushed; streaming music, shows and movies; being outside and watching butterflies and she loved her three dogs and cat. Although Ali was born with severe medical impairments, she was seen as the beautiful girl that she truly was and will be missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, Dec. 1st from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 12 noon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Ali’s memory to the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
