Obituary of Joan F. Siler

SELKIRK – Joan F. Siler, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany on May 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Gertrude Gates Fox and sister of the late John Fox. A graduate of Albany High School, Joan worked at the NY Telephone Co. in the payroll dept. prior to marriage and raising a family. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Siler and son, Robert J. Siler (U.S. Navy, retired). Survivors include her children, Barbara A. Siler and Judith A. Siler, both of Selkirk and Thomas W. Siler (Joan) of Dover, DE; and grandchildren, Anne M. Siler of Selkirk and Kyle M. Siler of Dover, DE. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital and the staff on 3 McAuley. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
